Dr. Doyin Okupe, a former presidential spokesman, has reportedly passed away at the age of 72.
While the family has yet to make an official announcement, sources indicate that he had been gravely ill in recent weeks.
Okupe reportedly succumbed to a prolonged battle with cancer. In October 2023, reports emerged that he was undergoing treatment for prostate cancer in Israel. He was first diagnosed with the illness 16 years ago and later developed sarcoma in his right shoulder.
Meanwhile, other sources close to the family revealed that the former Director-General of the Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Council had recently been in critical condition before his passing.
