The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has ordered the immediate redeployment of 25 senior officers across various key offices nationwide.

The shake-up includes the posting of seven Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) to critical positions, while 18 Commissioners of Police (CPs) due for AIG promotions—pending approval from the Police Service Commission (PSC)—have been reassigned to AIG offices.

Among the newly posted AIGs, Margaret Ochalla now heads the FCID Annex, Lagos, while Abayomi Peter Oladipo takes charge of Zone 13, Ukpo. Others include Fred Ekokotu (Zone 11, Osogbo), Iwo Nemi Edwin Osigboka (Border Patrol Force, FHQ, Abuja), Garba Ahmed (Training & Development, FHQ, Abuja), Salman Dogo (Zone 5, Benin), and Kanayo Uzuegbu (Zone 9, Umuahia).

According to a statement from the Force PRO, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, the 18 CPs posted to act in the capacity of AIGs, pending the approval of the PSC, are: CP Patrick Adedeji Atayero posted as Commandant, Police Academy, Kano; CP Tolani Alausa as AIG Zone 16, Yenagoa; CP Musibau Ajani as AIG Zone 17, Akure; CP Mobolaji Victor Olaiya as AIG DICT, Force Headquarters, Abuja; CP Laolu Adegbite, MFR, as AIG Interpol, Force Headquarters, Abuja; CP Clement Robert  (AIG Community Policing, Research & Planning, Force Headquarters, Abuja); CP Gyongon Augustine Grimah (AIG Zone 10, Sokoto); CP Thomas Abraham Nabhon (AIG ONSA); CP Musa Auwal Mohammed (AIG Zone 3, Yola); CP Mohammed Shehu Dalijan (AIG CTU), Force Headquarters, Abuja; CP Olatunji Disu (AIG Special Protection Unit, Force Headquarters, Abuja); CP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu (AIG Zone 12, Bauchi); CP Fasuba Akinyele (AIG Investment, Force Headquarters, Abuja); CP Musa Kareem (AIG Force Headquarters Annex, Lagos); CP Chukwudi Chris Ariekpere (AIG FCID Annex, Enugu); CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa (AIG Zone 14, Katsina); CP Godwin I. Eze (AIG DFA, Force Headquarters, Abuja); and CP Abel J. Zwalchir Miri (AIG Communications, Force Headquarters, Abuja).

IGP Egbetokun has charged the officers to embrace their new responsibilities with dedication and diligence, emphasizing the importance of their roles in ongoing police reforms. The redeployment, he stated, is part of the force’s revitalization efforts aimed at strengthening national security and ensuring efficient service delivery.
