A potential disaster was averted this morning when a lorry lost control and collided with a truck conveying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) on Ojuelegba bridge, in Lagos.
The gas truck truck, marked KSF 11XW, tilted dangerously to the edge of the bridge but the driver managed to keep it from falling off.
The driver of the lorry reportedly fled the scene immediately.
NewsmakersNG learnt that emergency officials have removed the gas truck from the bridge to clear the traffic gridlock caused by the accident.
There was no report of casualty or injuries.
