The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, has emerged from hiding after an eight-day siege to his Abuja residence by the police, looking half dead.

Melaye who appeared weak and fainting and could barely walk was supported by two men as he entered a Honda Accord salon that took him to the police station.

Also at the police station, the Senator who could no longer stand on his feet was carried by the two men into one of the offices.

At a point, the Senator appeared to have some difficulty in breathing and a member of his entourage could be seen administering an inhaler on him.

Melaye was reportedly accompanied by his lawyer, Chief Mike Ozekhome, and some of his colleagues to the office of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Guzape district, Abuja.
Police authorities had alleged some persons in the senator’s entourage shot and injured a policeman, Sergeant Danjuma Saliu, in July 2018, while on duty in Kogi State.
