Chairman, Resort Group, Dr. Wale Babalakin (SAN); former Ekiti State governor, Asiwaju Segun Oni; Kwara State deputy governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi; presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina; Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, former Group Managing Director, Daily Times Plc and columnist, Chief Tola Adeniyi among others have condoled with senior journalist and former Head, Corporate Communications, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, Chief Steve Omolale, over the demise of his mother, Olori Rachael Bolarinwa Omolale-Ajulo.

She was 86.

In a letter he personally signed and addressed to Omolale, Babalakin stated, “I wish to condole with you on the passing of your mother, Olori Rachael Bolarinwa Omolale-Ajulo. May her soul rest in peace. May God grant you and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.”

Oni, who is also the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the June 18 gubernatorial election in Ekiti State, in his condolence message wrote, “Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the departure to glory of your dear mother. May the Lord Almighty console you and the entire family left behind and stand in the gap for you all and grant Mama eternal rest in the bosom of Abraham.”

Alabi described the death as a great loss and prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased.

He added that the good children Mama left behind testify to the fact that she lived a good and disciplined life.

Adesina regretted the loss and also prayed to God to give the entire family the fortitude to bear it.

While expressing his condolences to Omolale and the family, Omotoso prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest  and protect those she left behind.

Adeniyi, in his condolence message to Omolale said, “Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your darling Mom to higher glory.”

Condolence messages have also been pouring in from many senior journalists, groups and individuals.

Meanwhile, funeral rites for the deceased begin on Thursday, May 5, this year, when the body will lie-in-state at her residence, Bolarinwa Villa, Afin-Akoko, Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State, while Christian wake takes place same day at the Town Hall.

A statement signed on behalf of the family by Omolale further says funeral service will take place at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Afin-Akoko, at 10am on Friday,  May 6, adding that reception follows immediately at her residence after internment at the church cemetery.
