Former Petroleum Minister, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, has lost a suspected loot of $2, 740, 197.96 and another sum of N84, 537, 840.70 to the Federal Government in the meantime.
A Federal High Court, in Lagos, today ordered that Diezani must temporarily forfeit the money domiciled in one of the banks.
The court presided over by Justice (Professor) Chuka Obiozor also ordered temporary forfeiture of a building known as Building 3, Block B, Bella Vista, located at Plot 1, Zone N, Federal Government Layout, at Banana Island Foreshore Estate, in Ikoyi, Lagos. The property belongs to Diezani.
Justice Obiozor made the temporary order while granting an Ex-parte application filed and argued before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against the former minister, one lawyer and a company.
The lawyer is Afamefuna Nwokedi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), while the company in the suit is Rusimpex Limited. The EFCC claimed the firm has been a conduit pipe which Diezani used to siphon the money used in buying the seized property.

But Diezeni said all the monies and property in Banana island that the FG claimed to have recovered are not hers.So which monies and property is the government recovering without legal representation of the alleged in the court of law?
Why is this government so indebted with so much loans incurred despite the claimed recovered loots?
This government is a deception with no transparency index.So how are they fighting corruption?…With perception on the perceived enemies with media trial as a smokescreen on the pages of newspapers to hoodwink the masses and to cover their incompetence and corruption….So shameful
