Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, says the deposed emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has accepted his appointment as Chancellor of the Kaduna State University (KASU).
El-Rufai disclosed this in a series of tweets via his verified handle, @GovKaduna, in which he formally announced Sanusi’s latest appointment by the state government.
One of the tweets reads, “Malam @elrufai welcomes with gratitude the consent of HH Muhammadu Sanusi to serve as Chancellor of KASU and as Vice-Chairman of the board of KADIPA. KDSG is grateful that he continues to support and assist the realisation of its governance objectives.”
The Kaduna State government had also yesterday appointed Sanusi Vice Chairman of the state’s investment promotion agency, KADIPA.
