Delta Tops as Nigeria Records 790 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Now 26,484

Delta State for the time recorded the highest number of new COVID-19 infections today, as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 790 new cases in the country.

The state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, disclosed earlier today that himself and his wife, Edith had tested positive for COVID-19.

Lagos State recorded 160 new cases, followed by Enugu, the federal capital territory and Edo with 66, 65 and 60 cases respectively.

The NCDC also gave the number of COVID-19 related fatalities recorded today as 13.

It said the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country is now 26,484, out of which 10,152 have recovered and 603 have died.
