The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, has fulfilled the promise he made to the family of Deborah Samuel, the female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, killed by a mob of fellow students over alleged blasphemy against Islam.
Following the incident on May 12, Chinyere had made public his intention to assist the deceased’s parents and six younger siblings.
Aside from offering to provide the family with a house in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, the cleric also offered to sponsor the education of Deborah’s immediate younger brother abroad and also provide scholarship for the remaining siblings to university level.
In addition, he promised to provide job for Deborah’s father, Garba Emmanuel and also set up the mother, Alheri Emmanuel, in business.
Yesterday, in Port Harcourt, the cleric made good his promise by handing over an estate, comprising 14 mini-flats and a vehicle to the family. The vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, is intended to be used by Deborah’s father for transportation business.
The cleric, who shared photos of the presentation on his Twitter handle, @PstChibuzorGift, wrote:
“Do you remember the girl that was killed for alleged Blasphemy??
“Today 24 May 2022 I fulfilled my promise.
“I donated a 14 flats mini estates and a Corolla car for Uber business to the family of the slain Deborah samuel.
“Fully sponsored through tithes and offerings in OPM church.”
