Former Ogun State governor and senator for Ogun East, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has accused Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration of targeting him in a politically motivated plot to demolish his Sagamu residence and hotels, describing it as a vindictive abuse of power.

In a statement today, Daniel’s media aide, Steve Oliyide, described the move as “political persecution” and a “vindictive abuse of power.”

He said government agents pasted contravention, quit, and demolition notices on three properties — Asoludero Court, Conference Hotels Limited, and its annex.

Oliyide alleged the notices, which cited unspecified “suspected offences,” were based on a retroactive law and ignored due process.

He condemned the demolition threat as a “thuggish tactic” aimed at intimidation and damage.
