Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has caused a stir on Twitter by claiming that President Muhammadu Buhari is not the most powerful and influential personality in Nigeria.
Murray-Bruce, who is popularly called the ‘Common-sense Senator”, in a tweet today mentioned Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, as an example of a Nigerian that is more powerful than the President.
“Why do politicians think power only comes from political offices? Buhari isn’t the most powerful Nigerian. @AlikoDangote is far more influential and powerful than him. Our politicians need a paradigm shift. Don’t hold on to power. Hold on to honour and power will ever follow you,” the tweet reads.
The tweet has been attracting loads of comments with Twitter users giving a variety of opinions.
