Customs Allegedly Raids Abuja Hotel at Midnight, Demands import Papers from Guests

Men of the Nigerian Customs Service reportedly invaded a popular five-star hotel in Abuja at about 1am today.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the officers cordoned off the entrance immediately they arrived at the hotel named Fraser Suites.

The officers then instructed hotel staff to wake up the guests to identity their vehicles among those parked in the premises.

Some of the guests were subsequently requested to show proof of payment of customs duty on their vehicles.

A Twitter user who claimed to have witnessed the incident shared his experience via the handle, @mathewamad:
