C&S Unification Council Moves to Reform Church

Dupe Olaoye-Osinkolu, London/

The unification Council of Cherubim & Seraphim Churches, in Europe, has examined ways of turning the church around, by advancing the imperative of unity, love and true fellowship in Christ.

Towards achieving this, a tripartite seminar was held in London by the Council as part of a 3-day joint unity crusade of the white garment churches organised by Reverend Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi, founder and pastor, Love of Christ Generation Church, London.

Speakers at the seminar enjoined members of the C&S to shun the stand-alone syndrome and embrace unity which can only be achieved through selfless love of one another.

The first speaker at the seminar, Special Apostle Fred Edomi spoke about Weakness in the system: Many factions in the church, lack of discipline and lack of common goal. The second speaker examined the imperative of unity, the dynamics of change, structures and structural relationships. The paper was delivered by Prof. S. F. Korode.

A third resource person spoke about research and development for the church: review of management system and committees necessary.

Edomi described the 3-day programme as a pilgrimage to change. He called on members to renounce ego in order not to be drawn back.

Borode said, “The adhesive that binds all the parts of the body of Christ is love by all, for all, with all in the spirit and in submission to the God-anointed leadership.
