Cross River State Commissioner of Police, Abdulkadir Jimoh, has died of COVID-19.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the late police boss died at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital isolation centre.
His death came amidst the resurgence of COVID-19 in the country.
Nigeria recorded 1,145 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday, the highest daily tally since the outbreak of the infection in the country in February.
