COVID-19 Reaches Last State in Nigeria as NCDC Confirms 5 Cases in Cross River, Total Now 29,286

COVID-19 has finally reached Cross River State, which till yesterday remained the only state that was officially COVID-19 free, with the confirmation of five cases of the virus by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The NCDC also gave the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country as 29,286.

The centre said 11,828 persons have recovered from the disease across the country, while 654 have died, including nine today.

Lagos State recorded the highest number of new infections with 123, followed by the federal capital territory with 100 cases.
