The number of workers who have tested positive for COVID-19 in a single company in Ibadan, Oyo State, has risen from 38 to 57.
Governor Seyi Makinde made this known via Twitter in the early hours of today.
According to Makinde, 19 more samples taken from suspected cases in the company returned positive.
He said the development has brought the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state to 137.
The governor tweeted, “The COVID-19 confirmation tests for nineteen suspected cases came back POSITIVE. All nineteen of these cases are from the same organisation referred to in the update of May 16 and 17, 2020. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State is 137.”
