COVID-19: Lagos Admits 13, Discharges 6 Patients, as Nigeria Records 20 New Cases

Nigeria has recorded 20 new COVID-19 cases, with 13 of them in Lagos State.

The latest cases bring the total number of those who have contracted the disease in the country to 343.

Also, Lagos State discharged six patients, five males and one female, from the Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, today.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced in a tweet today that one of the remaining seven cases is in Ondo, and two each in Edo, Kano and Ogun States.

Also annoucing the discharge of the six patients who have fully recovered from infection, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu tweeted via @jidesanwoolu:

“Good people of Lagos, today, 6 more persons; 1 female and 5 males have been discharged from IDH, Yaba, after their full recovery and testing negative twice to #COVID19

“This good news brings the number of patients who have been managed and discharged from our facilities to 61.”

The total number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the country now stands at 91.
