Starting from tomorrow, Kaduna State will begin to subject all visitors to any part of the state to 14-day supervised quarantine.
The decision was announced by the state’s Standing Committee on Covid-19 at the end of its meeting today.
According to a statement shared on Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s verified Twitter handle, @GovKaduna, all entry points into the state would be barricaded from tomorrow and only authorised traffic would be granted access.
The statement adds that any visitor who refuses to be compulsorily quarantined will be turned back.
The statement reads, “KDSG has warned that travel into the state is a breach of its quarantine conditions. Travelers will be stopped at entry points and given the option to return to their departure point or face 14 days in an isolation facility. Enforcement starts from Thursday, 9th April
“Today’s meeting of the State Standing Committee on Covid-19 directed that all entry points will be barricaded and only authorised traffic given passage. Kaduna State imposed strict quarantine regulations in the interest of public safety and they will be strictly enforced.”
