COVID-19: Gombe Overtakes Lagos in Daily Infections, as Confirmed Cases Surpass 16,000

Lagos State today recorded a sharp drop in fresh COVID-19 infections, just as Gombe State became the first to overtake it in the number of daily confirmed cases.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) also annouced today that 402 persons have died from COVID-19 in the country, as the total number of confirmed cases reached 16,085.

It also said 5,220 patients have recovered from the disease and discharged from isolation centres across the country.

According to the centre, Lagos State recorded 68 confirmed cases today, after Gombe State which recorded 73 cases.
