COVID-19: Funke Akindele Preaches Social Distancing, Staying at Home in New Video

Fresh from a two-week isolation imposed on her and her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, aka JJC Skillz, by a Lagos State Magistrates’ Court, actress, Funke Akindele, has released a video in which she appealed to Nigerians to adhere strictly to the instructions of health experts in the fight against COVID-19.

The state government had prosecuted the actress and her husband for hosting a party in contravention of the lockdown order to curtail the spread of the coronavirus.

But in a sensitisation video released today via her social media platforms, the actress urged her fans and the general public to stay at home and practice social distancing among other measures prescribed by the government to defeat the virus.

She stated in part, “These past few weeks has been a learning curve but we must keep moving forward.

“My dear friends, coronavirus is real. We must collaborate with the Lagos State Government and Federal Government by staying at home, staying safe.”
