COVID-19: Ex-Gov Ajimobi Slips into Coma at Lagos Hospital

Former governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has reportedly been battling for life at the First Cardiologist Hospital where he has been receiving treatment for COVID-19 infection.

NewsmakersNG learnt that Ajimobi who slipped into a coma after recovering from a cardiac arrest has been placed on a ventilator at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the First Cardiologist Hospital.

NewsmakersNG had reported on June 6 that Ajimobi was rushed to the hospital after he slumped at his Lagos home when he returned from the bathroom.

His wife, Florence Ajimobi, reportedly called on the security details in the house, who rushed him from his room to the car and ferried him to the hospital.

It was later revealed that the tests carried out showed that Ajimobi had a problem with his lungs.
