Confusion Trail Attack on Ondo Church, Many Feared Killed

An explosion on Sunday rocked the St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, in Owo town, Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State capital.

Many worshippers were feared killed as a result of the incident. The explosion, reportedly occurred on the church premises while the mass was going on.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the incident caused pandemonium in the area as residents in the neighborhood of the church ran for safety.

Some eyewitnesses however claimed it was some herdsmen that attacked the church and killed worshippers.

Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, said the command was yet to ascertain the cause the incident.
