Lagos State police boss, Mr Imohimi Edgal has finally been confirmed as a substantive Commissioner of Police, after spending three months in acting capacity.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the Police Service Commission (PSC) confirmed the appointment at its 24th Plenary meeting which ended in Abuja yesterday.
According to a statement from the PSC Head, Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, the Commission also confirmed the appointments of five other acting police commissioners serving in various states and approved the promotion of 244 other senior officers.
The promotion and confirmation were some of the high points of the plenary meeting from December 5 to 7. It was presided over by PSC’s Chairman, Sir Mike Okiro.
