Christmas Light Decoration Catches Fire at Civic Centre … Damages Building

A part of the landmark Civic Centre on Ozumba Mbadiwe road, Victoria Island, Lagos was slightly damaged when the Christmas lights used to decorate the building caught fire late yesterday.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the fire started around 11pm when most of the businesses in the building had closed for the day.

The blaze was reportedly put out by firefighters before it could cause extensive damage.

Nollywood actor, Kate Henshaw, shared a video of the incident on her Twitter handle.
