Channels TV has announced the promotion of Chamberlain Usoh, the Nigeria Media Merit Award (NMMA) TV Programme Presenter of the Year as its Editor/Station Manager, Abuja.
Usoh’s promotion from Deputy Editor/Ag Station Manager, Abuja, to Editor/Station Manager, Abuja, was announced alongside those of eight other Management staff.
According to the announcement signed by the newly promoted Assistant General Manager, Human Resources – Foluso Oluwafemi, other beneficiaries of the promotion that took effect from January 1, 2024, include: Kingsley Uranta, from Assistant General Manager, Operations to General Manager of Channels TV Academy; Ambrose Okoh, from Controller, Programmes to General Manager, News & Current Affairs; Patrick Obuseh from Assistant General Manager, International Operations to General Manager, Operations; Adeola Olumeyan from Assistant General Counsel to General Counsel; Louis Eke, from Assistant Controller, News to Controller, News; Aderonke Raji also stepped up from Assistant Controller, News to Controller, News, and the erstwhile Senior Editor/Head of Presentation, Adejoke Rogers, is now Assistant Controller, News.
Oluwafemi stated that the Executive Management commended their effort, hoping that the gesture would further motivate them to a higher level of performance of their functions.
Chamberlain Usoh is a Mass Communication Professional with Public Policy bias from the University of Lagos and Leadership Institute, Arlington, Virginia, U.S.A. He holds an M.Sc. in Media & Communications from Pan Atlantic University, and a Diploma in Convergence & Multi-Media skills from Thompson Reuters Foundation in Wales, United Kingdom.
Usoh has 20 years of experience working in various capacities across the globe, including DBN TV, ITN News, Channel 4 (London), Liberation Chambers, Lagos, NewsNow Magazine, and Channels TV.
Awards received by Usoh include NBA, Media Merit Award for Excellence in Programme Presentation, S.E.S Male TV Personality of the year 2011, Junior Chamber International, Media Award as Male TV Personality of the year 2011, and an NYSC Certificate of Commendation in his Youth Service days.
