Celebrity Housemates: Kemi Otegbade Sets the Record Straight

Kemi Otegbade, the brain behind Nigeria’s reality TV show, Celebrity Housemates, has replied critics who are allegedly out to tarnish her image.
In a statement sent to NewsmakersNG, Otegbade says: “I am alive and well,
I am not in hot soup. I am not on the run.
My lawyers, Ademola Ijaoba & co have the true and legal situation of cheques issued with evidence.
“They are in touch with the parties concerned.
“Their lawyers have written the sponsors directly and our lawyers were copied.
“Figures don’t lie and can be gotten from sponsors ALSO.
“I am not going to be involved in media war but legal discussion with empirical evidence.
“Some sponsors defaulted on Celebrity Housemates reality show while some fulfilled their obligations.
“I was to meet with director of the project before I went for medication but he did not give me a clear audience for meeting probably because free flow of budget had ceased. That’s life.
“I have to look after myself as i broke down even during shooting of project.
“I have been a major stakeholder and promoter of the Nigerian cause to be on the run on a project i created to promote my country. Nah.
“Nigeria should not be in existence if it stops functioning at every crisis .
“My lawyers are available for further details and way forward.
“I will be happier if issues are eventually resolved and we get returns on investment and hard work sunk in.”
