The Civil Defence, Correction, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced the shortlisting of successful candidates for the oral interview stage of its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise.
The exercise covers applicants seeking employment into the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS) and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the Board, Maj. Gen. A. M. Jibril (Rtd), the CDCFIB said it had concluded the assessment of candidates who participated in the recently completed physical and medical screening exercise.
According to the Board, successful applicants under the Graduate Category are required to check their status on the official CDCFIB recruitment portal between Monday, August 31 and Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
Candidates who applied with NCE, OND or SSCE qualifications will have their turn between Monday, September 7 and Wednesday, September 9, 2026.
Successful candidates are expected to select an interview venue nearest to them, as well as their preferred date and time, before printing their invitation letters from the portal.
The Board stressed that only candidates shortlisted for the final exercise would be allowed into the interview venues.
It also directed shortlisted applicants to comply strictly with the dress code specified in their invitation letters.
In an important warning aimed at preventing applicants from falling victim to fraudsters, the CDCFIB said it would not send recruitment emails, insisting that legitimate information concerning the exercise would be communicated through its official recruitment portal.
The Board further reiterated that the recruitment exercise is completely free and warned candidates against paying money to anyone claiming to facilitate employment.
“The entire recruitment process is transparent and FREE OF CHARGE,” the Board said, urging applicants to report anyone demanding payment for employment to the nearest security agency or appropriate authority.
Candidates were advised to rely exclusively on the CDCFIB’s official portal and recognised communication channels for recruitment updates.
