A cloud of grief has descended on the Celestial Church of Christ, Aladewura Cathedral, Lagos, following the passing of Mrs. Modupeola Comfort Ogundokun, wife of the Shepherd-in-Charge, Venerable Snr. Evangelist Taiwo James Ogundokun. She was aged 57.
Mrs. Ogundokun, described as a devoted wife, loving mother, and steadfast servant in the Lord’s vineyard, was widely respected for her deep faith, humility, and tireless commitment to the service of God and humanity. Her death has left the cathedral community and the larger Alakuko-Ajegunle neighbourhood in profound mourning.
According to the family, a wake-keep service in her honour will hold on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the church premises on Home Science Road, Alakuko-Ajegunle, Lagos.
Further burial arrangements are expected to be announced by the family.
She is survived by her husband and children: Johnson Ogundokun, Rachel Ogundokun-Olagbemi, Mayokun Ogundokun, and Busayo Ogundokun.
Neighbours and parishioners remembered the deceased as a compassionate, God-fearing woman whose gentle spirit and acts of kindness touched countless lives.
