Burna Boy Bags Grammys Nomination

Burna Boy’s latest album, African Giant, has been nominated for Best World Music Album at the Grammys.

The Nigerian music star, whose real name is Damini Ogulu, broke the news on his verified Twitter handle, @burnaboy, today.

With the nomination, Burna Boy joins the likes of King Sunny Ade, Seun Kuti and Femi Kuti, who had been selected for that category at the Grammy Awards.

The 62nd Grammys Award ceremony takes place at the Staples Center, Los Angeles in January.
