Determined in her efforts to end preventable maternal, new born and child deaths through advocacy and the strengthening of accountability mechanisms in order to enhance the peace and development of Nigeria, the First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari, led state governors’ wives to the Police College, Ikeja, in Lagos Thursday to flag-off an empowerment programme organised by the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) and her NGO, the Future Assured Initiative.
After the event, the Lagos State governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, posted some memorable pictures on Twitter, including one showing how she “handed over Mama’s Kit to expectant mothers in Lagos”.
