Buhari Bounces Back

President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Nigeria early today, cool, calm and collected, after a 49-day medical break in London.

He landed at the Air Force base in Kaduna, at about 7:41 a.m, where he was received by some officials.

After a few handshakes here and there, the President was flown to Abuja in a chopper.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina yesterday informed Nigerians that the president would be back today.

Adesina said, “The President left the country on January 19, 2017 for a vacation, during which he had routine medical check-ups. The holiday was extended based on doctors’ recommendation for further tests and rest.

“President Buhari expresses appreciation to teeming Nigerians from across the country, and beyond, who had prayed fervently for him, and also sent their good wishes.”
