Buhari Bears Witness as Sanwo-Olu Strengthens Lagos Security with Vehicles, Gadgets

The police in Lagos today received a shot in the arm as the state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu presented 188 crime fighting vehicles, 100 motorbikes, ballistic helmets, radios and Walkie Talkies during a visit by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buhari joined Sanwo-Olu to officially handed over the Patrol Vehicles and various security equipment to security agencies in Lagos State today.

According to the state government, the equipments included: 150 Double Cabin Vehicles; 30 Saloon Patrol Vehicles; 1000 Ballistic Vests; 1000 Ballistic Helmets; 1000 Handheld Police Radios/Walkie Talkies; 100 Security Patrol Bikes; two Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs), four High Capacity Troop Carriers; two Anti-Riot Water Cannon Vehicles, along with Office/Command Furniture and other Ancillary Support Resources.

The government stated that the move was in line with the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Agenda, in which the ‘S’ stands for Security. It also seeks to boost the morale of security agencies across the state and to improve its overall security.
