A Twitter user has mourned her sister who was among the victims of the Boko Haram attack on travellers in Auno village, along the Damaturu-Maiduguri highway on Sunday night.
He also lamented the failure of President Muhammadu Buhari to guarantee the security of average Nigerians and called on him to resign.
The man, identified as M.O. Shittu on his Twitter profile, shared a picture of the deceased with the caption: “RIP.”
According to him, the deceased, Fatima, said to be a Political Science student of the University of Maiduguri (UMIMAID), was returning to school when the gruesome attack occurred.
His tweet read, “Fatima was burnt to ashes by dreaded Boko haram sect in Auno, few miles to Maiduguri on her way back to school (UNIMAID).
“May your soul rest in Perfect peace. @MBuhari has failed you. RIP Sister.
“This govt has failed to ensures Nigerians are secured. #Buhariresignnow.”

The Auno attacks, which took place at about 9.45pm, claimed the lives of innocent travellers, whose vehicles were set ablaze by the Boko Haram insurgents.
During that attack, about 30 people were reportedly killed, while many women and children were abducted.
The video clips on the attacks showing burnt human bodies and vehicles went viral on social media yesterday.
Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, who visited the scene of the attack yesterday, blamed the military for abandoning the victims to their faith.
The President has however assured Nigerians that his administration would continually frustrate the devilish operations of Boko Haram and bring it to an end.
He also commiserated with the family of victims of attacks.
In a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in Abuja yesterday, Buhari condemned the “murderous and cowardly” attack on innocent passengers by the Boko Haram terrorists.
He said, “The commitment of this administration to protect the lives of Nigerians will not be derailed by the cowardly and indiscriminate violence against innocent people by Boko Haram terrorists.”
The president, who also condoled with Borno State Government over the attacks, warned that ”terrorists are clearly on a back foot and their days are numbered”.
He added, “As our armed forces continue to receive more hardware and intelligence to counter our current security challenges, the remnants of Boko Haram will ultimately be crushed.
”The peculiar challenges of asymmetric warfare notwithstanding, our Armed Forces are ever determined to defeat these enemies of humanity.”
