Tragedy struck in Amasiri in the Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State on Saturday as a bridegroom slumped at the reception venue and later died in the hospital.
The deceased, identified as Chukwuemeka Onwuka, was getting married to one Miss Onyinyechi Amadi when tragedy struck, according to CKN NEWS
The deceased, an ophthalmologist, hailed from Item, in the Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
The deceased had reportedly danced with well-wishers and family members at the reception venue and was coming out for the second round of dance when he suddenly slumped.
NewsmakersNG learnt that some guests initially tried unsuccessfully to resurcitate him before he was taken to a nearby hospital from where he was referred to another hospital, where he was eventually confirmed dead.
