A riot has reportedly broke out at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre in Lagos this morning, as prison guards battle to foil an attempted jailbreak.
Online video shows smoke billowing from parts of the prison while inmates are seen running.
NewsmakersNG learnt that a contingent of soldiers and policemen has arrived at the scene to help bring the situation under control.
