Popular Trado-Medical Practitioner, Oko Oloyun, Assassinated

Renowned herbal medicine practitioner, Alhaji Fatai Yusuf, popularly known as Oko Oloyun, has reportedly been shot dead by suspected assassins.

NewsmakersNG learnt that Yusuf was attacked along Igboora-Eruwa road in Oyo State today.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Gbenga Fadeyi, confirmed the incident which happened around 4.30 pm.

Fadeyi said the Commissioner of Police, Mr Shina Olukolu, had visited the scene of the incident while Yusuf’s corpse had been deposited at the mortuary of Igbo-Ora General Hospital.

Fadeyi said, “Gunmen attacked his vehicle on the Eruwa-Igboora Road in Ibarapa Central; they shot at his vehicle and he was hit by a bullet.

“His corpse has been deposited at the Igbo-Ora General Hospital.”

One of Yusuf’s companies, Oko Oloyun Worldwide, manufactures the popular Yoyo Bitters.
