Police Nab Escaping Togolese Cook after Murder of Credit Switch Boss, Bademosi

The Togolese cook who allegedly stabbed to death the Chairman of Credit Switch, Chief Ope Bademosi, has been arrested.

NewsmakersNG learnt that he was arrested by detectives at his hideout in Yaba area of Ondo town in Ondo State this morning.

The suspect, identified as Sunday Anani, is currently being held at Fagun police division in Ondo town.

The suspect allegedly committed the crime last Wednesday at the Onikoyi Lane, Parkview Estate, home of the deceased, three days after he was brought from Ondo State to resume work.

He thereafter ransacked the apartment and carted away all the valuables he could gather, including cash.

He was declared wanted by the police immediately after the incident.

Later confirming the development, Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State police command, CSP Chike Oti, says in a statement:

“The Togolese who allegedly murdered Chief Opeyemi Bademasi on Wednesday, 31st October 2018, at his No.3A Onikoyi Lane residence, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, barely three days after he employed him as a cook, was arrested today 02/11/2018, at about 0930hrs, at Yaba area in Ondo town, Ondo state.

“The fleeing cook, later identified as Sunday Anani, 22 years of age, was arrested by homicide detectives attached to State Criminal Investigation And Intelligence Department (SCIID) Panti Street, Yaba, is right now undergoing interrogation.”
