The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, has defeated the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in Lagos State.
This was based on the collation of results at the Independent National Electoral Commission Lagos State collation centre in Yaba.
Obi won nine local government areas of the state.
The LGAs are Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Amuwo-Odofin, Eti-Osa, Ikeja, Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, Somolu, Ojo and Alimosho
Tinubu triumphed in Agege, Apapa, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, and Surulere.
Obi polled a total of 582,454 votes to defeat Tinubu, who got 572,606 votes in total.
