Nigeria Records Highest Daily COVID-19 Cases as NCDC Confirms 553 New Infections

Nigeria today recorded its highest number of new COVID-19 infections since the outbreak of the disease with 553 new cases.

Similarly, Lagos State, which is epicentre of the disease, recorded its highest number of daily infections so far with 378 cases.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said on its Twitter handle that the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country is now 9,855.

It added that a total of 2,856 patients have recovered from the disease while 273 have died.
