Breaking: Many Feared Killed as Robbers Attack Bank in Ekiti

Many people were feared killed at Ilawe-Ekiti, in Ekiti State, when armed robbers attacked a branch of Union Bank today.

NewsmakersNG learnt that the robbers, whose number could not be ascertained, struck at about 3pm.

Eyewitnesses told NewsmakersNG that the robbers shot their way into the banking hall, killing a policeman and two other customers of the bank.

There were however conflicting reports of the casualties.

They reportedly used dynamite to destroy the bank’s security door.

The bandits also reportedly looted the bank’s vault and escaped before the arrival of police reinforcements.
