Over 200 shops were completely burnt by an overnight fire which ravaged the Makurdi ultra modern market in Benue State.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the fire started around 9pm after the market had closed.
Traders reportedly watched helplessly as their goods went up in flames.
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
