Breaking: Labour Demands N66,500 Minimum Wage

Pat Stevens/

The Nigeria Labour Congress has pegged the minimum wage at N66,500.

It also chided the Nigeria Governors’ Forum for pegging the minimum wage at N22,500.

The President of the NLC, Mr. Ayuba Wabba, disclosed the union’s position at a press conference in Abuja, today.

Wabba also described the Governors’ Forum an illegal body.

He advised the governors to consult with workers in their respective states rather than hide under the umbrella of the governors’ forum.
