The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, has reportedly ordered the withdrawal of police escorts attached to suspended chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the order for the withdrawal of Magu’s security escorts was issued by the police boss yesterday.
Magu has been in detention for the past five days, while being probed for alleged misconduct by a presidential panel.
President Muhammadu Buhari also yesterday approved the appointment of Mohammed Umar as the acting chairman of the anti-graft agency.
