A Hel Bel 206 helicopter arriving in Lagos from Port Harcourt has crashed into a residential building at the highbrow Opebi area of Ikeja, the state capital, killing two persons today.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the incident occurred around 12 noon at House Number 16A, Salvation Road, Opebi.
Officials of the Lagos Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the police and firefighters were seen at the scene, where two persons have been confirmed dead and one injured victim rushed to the hospital.
Ibrahim Farinloye, spokesman at the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Tunji Oketunbi of Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) and Okunbor Nosa of LASEMA have all confirmed the accident which involved the helicopter owned by Quorom Aviation Limited.
