The Chief Medical Director (CMD) of Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital, Edo State, Prof Sylvanus Okogbenin, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
The gunmen also killed the two policemen attached to him and injured two other persons in his convoy.
NewsmakersNG learnt that Okogbenin was attacked this afternoon at Ramat Park in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area on his way to Benin to catch a flight to Abuja
This is coming on the heel of the abduction of two Assistant Directors of the hospital last week. They were later released after ransom was paid.
Police authorities in the state have confirmed the incident.
