Education Minister, Malam Adamu Adamu, has lost his mother, Hajiya Fatima Adamu Baaba.
NewsmakersNG learnt that Hajiya Fatima died in the early hours of today.
The Director of Press in the Federal Ministry of Education, Ben Bem Goong, confirmed the development in a short statement.
Goong said the deceased would be buried today in Azare, Bauchi State.
The statement reads, “Mother of Education Minister, Adamu Adamu, Hajiya Fatima Adamu Baaba is dead.
“The minister confirmed that her mother died in the early hours of this morning.
“Burial is about now taking place at Azare in Bauchi state in accordance with Muslim rights.
“Other details will come your way in the course of proceedings.”
