A Kano state high court has sacked four emirs appointed by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.
Daily Nigerian reports that Justice Usman Na’Abba gave the order today.
The governor created four additional emirates in Kano in a bid to whittle down the influence of the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II.
The claimed the move was for administrative convenience.
Sanusi had however challenged the action in court.
