The Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum, today, ran into an ambush by suspected Boko Haram terrorists, sources disclosed.
NewsmakersNG learnt that the governor was on a trip to Monguno and Baga towns to distribute food to IDPs when the incident happened.
Sources said the governor’s convoy came under attack while he was returning from Baga.
The governor was however said to be unhurt as his security aides successfully repelled the assault on the convoy.
