The Ekiti State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reportedly suspended a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Oyetunde Ojo.
Ojo, who is a strong member of the APC in the state, is also an in-law to the party’s National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
Party sources told NewsmakersNG that Ojo was suspended for his perceived support for a former governor of the state, Engr. Segun Oni, who contested the party’s gubernatorial ticket with the incumbent governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.
Oni, who is a former Deputy National Chairman (South) of the APC, and some of his loyalists, including Akogun Bunmi Ogunleye, had earlier been suspended by the state chapter of the party.
NewsmakersNG learnt that Ojo was a major financier of Oni’s failed bid for governorship.
