The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Yobe Governor, Mai-Mala Buni, as its caretaker chairman following the dissolution of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) today.
The acting national chairman of the party, Victor Giadom, announced the decision to dissolve the NWC at the party’s National Executive Council meeting at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.
The Yobe governor was specifically named chairman, caretaker/extra-ordinary convention committee.
He was immediately sworn in by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.
The meeting was attended by President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, APC governors and some members of the dissolved NWC.
